How it all started.
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE.
My name is Kelly. I grew up in a small village in Guizhou, China, where childhood meant being outside.
We ran through rice fields, climbed the mountains behind our homes, splashed in the river, and invented adventures until the sun disappeared behind the hills. We came home tired, dirty, and very happy.
No one called it leadership development, resilience training, or experiential education.
It was simply childhood.
Years later I studied medicine and worked in the medical industry. But a quiet voice kept reminding me that the moments that shape us the most rarely happen in offices. They happen outside — when we try something difficult, support each other, and discover strengths we didn’t know we had.
Fun & Learn began unexpectedly in 2021 during a small outdoor camp in Krabi. I was missing my own children at the time, and suddenly there were twenty kids climbing rocks, laughing, arguing, and learning together. By the end of the week I realized something simple: this was exactly where I belonged.
Soon more children came. First from Israel. Then from the Chinese community in Chiang Mai. Parents kept asking, “When is the next camp?”
Fun & Learn was not born from a business plan.
It grew from a community that wanted their children to experience something real.People often use big words in education.
For me it comes down to something very simple.Children grow when they do things together.
When they explore.
When they help each other.
When they come back tired, proud, and full of stories. My wish is that every child who joins a Fun & Learn program leaves with muddy shoes, bright eyes, and the quiet confidence that they are capable of more than they imagined.
And that maybe, somewhere along the way, they fall in love with the outdoors the same way I did.
